Medieval clothes

Byzantine dress

A 14th century military clothes
Byzantine dress changed considerably over the thousand years of the empire, but was essentially conservative. The Byzantines liked color, and made very richly patterned cloth, especially Byzantine clothes, made for important people, and with the shield of the family printed on the cloth.
There is a border round the edges and many single stripes down the body or around the arm where you could see the class or rank of the family, it was the Imperial Court fashion, these clothes weren’t cheap, only rich people could buy it.
